Dr Wilfred Koon

Principal Dentist

After completing his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2007, Dr Koon has worked at several dental clinics throughout Melbourne, gaining experience in all facets of modern dentistry.

Dr Koon is a keen believer in continuing professional education. He has invested both time and money to travel abroad, in particular to the United States to learn the latest in cosmetic and implant dentistry.

With a keen eye for detail Dr Koon does not only have an interest in cosmetic dentistry, but also in helping patients to alleviate their fears of the dentist.

Passionate about creating great smiles for his patients, in 2012 he completed his Master Clinician Program in Implant Dentistry at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) . He has since been admitted to the Fellowship of International College of Oral Implantologists.

In 2014 he attended the prestigious Kois Centre of Excellence in Seattle to learn full mouth rehabilitation.

Dr Koon is a member of the Australian Dental Association.

Outside of the practice, Dr Koon enjoys spending time with his family and walking his purebred Maltese, Snowy.

Dr Evelyn Teo

Dentist

Dr Evelyn Teo is a passionate and gentle dentist who not only enjoys bringing out the best in every smile, but also putting smiles on her patients’ faces.

Following completion of her Bachelors of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2009, Evelyn has purposefully gained a plethora of experience and knowledge working both in private practice country and metropolitan Victoria.

Known for her warmth and kind nature, Evelyn takes great pride in alleviating dental fears and ensuring that her every patient has an enjoyable dental experience. Her primary goal is to understand her patients’ concerns and empower them to take charge of their oral health.

Evelyn is a member of the Australian Dental Association and constantly updates herself in the latest developments in dentistry through seminars and workshops, with special attention to Cosmetic Dentistry. Her attention to detail and commitment to lifelong learning has resulted in Evelyn consistently delivering quality dentistry second to none.

In her spare time, Evelyn enjoys reading, is an avid globetrotter, loves trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her beloved family and friends.


Dr Michael Seng

Dentist

With experience in both the public and private sectors, Michael completed his Bachelor of Dental Science with honours at the University of Melbourne in 2008.

Following the completion of his degree he has gone on to become a clinical demonstrator at the University of Melbourne, helping to educate dental students partaking in their final year of placement. In 2015 Michael had the esteemed pleasure of being admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in General dental practice in the fields of restorative dentistry and periodontics.

With a passion for utilising his skill to assist underprivileged members of the community, he has a strong connection to the local community. Michael has also been part of a volunteer project team assisting target groups in need over in the Philippines, where he enjoyed using his clinical skills to assist underprivileged communities.

Outside of the practice Michael loves to keep active with a keen interest in snowboarding and martial arts.

Dr Reina Yang

Dentist

Dr Reina Yang studied Dentistry at the University of Melbourne and was awarded the prestigious Melbourne University National Scholarship, graduating with Honours. During her studies she was the Vice President of the Melbourne Dental Students Society. Reina has spent time working in both the private and public sectors in rural Victoria before moving to Queensland and Tasmania. She has now returned home to Melbourne and is thrilled to be part of the team at The Point Dental.

Reina is passionate about patient care, particularly helping patients overcome their dentistry fears. Her main priority is to listen to the individual needs of her patients and she firmly believes in making the experience as relaxed and comfortable as possible. She is highly experienced in sleep dentistry procedures under general anesthesia, both for adults and children.

Working with children is another one of Reina’s passions. She loves making a child’s dental visit memorable and fun. Stemming from her love of seeing children, Reina also practices orthodontics, having done the Mini- Residency in Excellence in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in Sydney.

In her spare time Reina loves hot yoga, bushwalking and spending time with friends and family.


Li

Practice Manager

Li is our amazing practice manager and has been with us right from the birth of the practice.

As a practice manager, Li brings a wealth of experience to a role that demands an understanding of the level of service our patients expect, and what we need as a practice to consistently deliver that service. This ensures the smooth running of the entire clinic on a daily basis, and at the same time, ensuring our patients have an exceptional experience during their visits.

Despite the demanding role, Li always put on a friendly smile. Her pleasant and calming demeanour has a way of easing the nerves of even our most anxious patients. Li also has an extraordinary ability to remember our patients names, family and personal circumstances.

Li has worked in various roles in the dental industry since 2010. Starting as a junior dental nurse and moving to become the clinical manager within a large dental organisation, to now the Practice Manager of The Point Dental. Li’s extensive knowledge is never ending. She is passionate in continuing education. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree and has a certificate III in dental assisting and a certificate IV in dental radiography.

When Li isn’t running around the office you can find her socialising with friends or hiking with her dog. She is always out seeking a new adventure to take on.


Kelly

Clinic Coordinator

Kelly’s role as a clinic coordinator is to ensure that the whole dental team is functioning cohesively, making sure that all of our patients receive the ultimate in dental experience and care.

From the design of the clinic, to creating a welcoming and relaxing environment from the moment patients first walk through our door. Kelly is there to ensure your visit is as smooth and care-free as possible, catering for even the most the anxious of patients.

Prior to “The Point Dental” Kelly has worked in various roles, with experience in customer service, dental nursing, administration, and client coordination within the construction industry. Completing her honours degree in biomedical science, she brings valuable experience and skills as well as great understanding to her role as clinic coordinator.

Kelly is a firm believer in by keeping the team motivated they will be able to provide the greatest of care to our patients.

Outside of the practice, Kelly is the supportive wife of Dr Koon. An awesome mother for their son, and she enjoys baking as well as painting during her free time (which is hardly ever).


Natalie

Front Office Coordinator

Natalie is our wonderful front office coordinator who greets all our patients at The Point Dental. She is passionate in ensuring that all our patients experience the highest level of customer service when visiting our practice.

Natalie’s warm personality and never-ending smile can make even the most anxious patients feel relaxed and calm. In addition, Natalie helps to coordinate appointments for our patients, and follow up with them after their visits to ensure that they are feeling comfortable even after leaving the clinic.

Being a people person, and with her previous role as a qualified professional hairstylist working in high-end boutique salons across Melbourne, Natalie enjoys meeting people and developing friendships with patients. She believes that all patients should be treated just like her own family and friends.

Outside of work Natalie enjoys travelling overseas, trying foods from all around the world and when she is not on a plane you will see her at a yoga class or cooking up a storm.


Shallon

Dental Assistant

Shallon has qualifications in both medical assistance and first aid and has previously work in an aged care facility. Shallon also has extensive management background in customer service.

Shallon’s passion for helping others influenced her into joining the dental industry where she can help create a stress-free environment for patients and dedicate herself to providing them with excellent service and professionalism.

Shallon takes great pride in her role as a Dental Assistant by ensuring that a high standard of infection control and patient care is implemented on a daily basis. Her kind hearted and calming nature ensures that patients feel at ease in her presence especially with children which will no doubt leave good impressions for their future dental visits.

Outside of work, Shallon loves spending time with her son and playing netball for her local club Werribee Centrals.


Thoa

Dental Assistant

Thoa is a funny, caring and delightful member of our team. She previously studied Legal Practice at RMIT and has tremendous customer service experience. Thoa joined the dental industry because she is passionate in providing customer care in a more hands-on and personalised manner.

Her passion in dentistry has allowed her to thrive in her role. She is trained to handle surgical procedures in the clinic and is meticulous with her designated role. Her role is vital in ensuring our patients’ safety is always at the forefront.

Outside of work, Thoa has a strong interest in fashion and make-up and on the weekend, helps her mum at the beauty spa.


Liana

Dental Assistant

Liana studied Dental Nursing at RMIT and has extensive experience in customer service and hospitality. Liana has always found anything to do with the medical industry interesting and when she moved to Melbourne, her housemate said they were looking for a dental nurse. She put her hand up and never looked back.

Liana has become a valuable team member at The Point Dental. She is the jack-of- all-trades in our practice from front office to nursing. Liana has a genuine interest in the welfare of our patients and is an expert in high quality patient care and comfort.  Her calm, confident and reassuring manner will help you feel right at home and help our dentists truly provide the best experiences possible.

Liana enjoys the Zen life outside of work, from aerial hooping to yoga, and she is always up for a different form of wellbeing.
