Invisalign: what’s all the rage about?
Unless you have been living under a rock lately, you may have seen across social media and print advertising something called ‘Invisalign’ popping up everywhere.
What exactly is Invisalign?
Invisalign are a series of clear aligners that are used as an alternative to braces to straighten teeth. The patient uses a series of removable plastic aligners which are changed throughout each stage of treatment. Invisalign gradually moves teeth into alignment.
So what’s all the rage about?
Well, unlike braces, Invisalign requires no brackets or metal and are custom fitted to the patient’s mouth. Invisalign is virtually invisible and the removable aligners can be taken out for eating. They are comfortable to wear and offer the perfect solution for adults wanting a more subtle way to straighten teeth.
